Which Whiskey WHen
Too many times have I had great 20 year aged bottle get pounded in less than 20 minutes and or mixed with some variety of a cola. I’m going to let you know right now, all whiskey isn’t meant to be shot and chased down with a bubbly castrating ginger ale. There is a whiskey for almost every occasion and below are some that seem to happen the most.

This staple which should be found in every gentlemen’s bar commemorates beginnings that end not as rowdy as they begin. Sure, it might not sit well next to your 1926 Macallan, but every now and then it’s good to turn up and not accidentally stumble and pour a bottle of your Pappy Van Winkle for your slurred speech friends. Jack Daniel’s is a legend in its own field of just being an easy shooting, well balanced, party starting, rock n rolling, drink.

Sip This
This beauty is one of the best whiskeys for the price. The complexity of this spirit far outperforms what you pay for it. With notes notes of cedar, honey, and a variety of spices it holds its own and will always be in my bar awaiting to be poured and enjoyed with moving conversation. Plus the label and bottle has sense of luxury which is always an added bonus, because lets be real cool points count.

One of the newer Distilleries out there but not novice. The Few’s Distillery has produced a great Rye Whiskey fermented uniquely with wine yeast. This unique fermentation gives it notes of plums and green apple with a spiciness of vanilla and ginger. It truly has an original linger amongst the palette that individuals will never forget.

Get your hands on this beacause it's the best thing you can possible get and is impossible to come by
The Yamazaki Single Malt Whiskey Sherry Cask needs a title and introduction like that. It truly is a work of art in liquid form. Now if you haven’t had to many whiskeys I would recommend you don’t try this as one of your first. Your palette simply will not understand the complexity of the notes and it would be like trying to explain theoretical astrophysics to second grader in science class. The palette interprets this liquid gold as a fusion of white oak and vanilla with a crispy, strong yet refined finish. One of the attributes that makes this the best whiskey is due to the purity of the water in Japan that the Distillery sources. The Whiskey Bible labeled this as, “ A Work of Genius”, and that’s exactly what it is.
Price: $400… If you can get it.
Of course there are other great whiskey's which weren't featured. Please drink up... responsibly of course, and share any other whiskeys you think deserve a spotlight. Also all these great spirits above should be drank neat in a well designed whiskey glass for maximum enjoyment.
Cheers.
